Plain version. By using Shelfie you agree to a few common-sense rules. We'll keep them readable.

The product

Shelfie is a service operated by Dawnward LLC. We help you turn shelf photos into a searchable library of books.

Your account

• You're 13 or older.
• One account per person. Don't let other people use yours.
• Don't pretend to be someone you're not.

Your content

• You own your library and your photos. You give us permission to store and process them so we can show them back to you.
• If you make a library public, you give us permission to display it to other people on the internet.
• Don't upload photos that contain other people's faces without their consent, or photos you don't have rights to.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to advertisers.
• We don't read your notes or quotes.
• We don't claim ownership of anything you put in.

Subscriptions

• Reader (Free) is free forever within its book limit.
• Bibliophile and Collector are billed monthly through Stripe.
• Cancel any time at Settings; you keep paid features until the period ends.
• Refunds case-by-case. Email us.

Bad behaviour

We can suspend an account that abuses the service, the model providers, or other users. We'd rather not.

No warranty

Shelfie is provided as-is. The spine reader is freakishly good but not perfect; treat the library as helpful, not legally authoritative.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is capped at what you've paid us in the last 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater. If you're in the EU, statutory rights apply where they cannot be disclaimed.

Governing law

Texas, USA. If we ever disagree we'll try to fix it together first.
